California!!!

California was a blast. We had so much fun and it was a great get away.

The first day we left st george about 9:30 and headed out. We stoped in Vegas and went shopping and then went to lunch. After lunch we headed to california and we just hung out and relaxed once we got there

The 2nd day we walked around the shops by our hotel went to lunch at PF changs. From there we went to a outdoor outlet mall. We headed to the game arong 4 so we could watch batting practice and try to catch some fly balls:] Devin was the only one that caught one and Jake got one of the players to sign it. The game was a blast the Angels Won so that is always fun.

The 3rd day was our beach day! We woke up and went to a big swap meet. It was huge and had a ton of cool stuff. It had some really nice stuff and some not so much. We then went to Hunington Beach. Before we went to the ocean we stoped and had lunch and looked around at the shops. Then we headed to the beach. The water was freezing so I was hesitent to even get in but I did end up getting in for a minute. Shane and Trever loved it though and were in the water most of the time. We also played sand volley ball which was so fun I had never played before and its pretty tough. At about 5:30 after the boys finished there sand castle, we ended the night with dinner and icecream. It was a great trip and I hope we go again.

(sorry the picture is very good its from my phone)
But this little beauty will be mine and shanes hopefully the first of next week! We have been looking for a house for quite a while and nothing had fallin through and nothing that we loved had came up intil we saw this one. It was built in 1942 but the whole inside is redone. We are super excited and feel very fortunate to have found a house and that were able to get one. I will post more pictures after the move.

whats for dinner?

Okay so my pictures dont look the greatest but it was good:]
Taco Pillows.
I saw this recipe floating around Pinterest and decided to give it a try. It actully turned out really good and it was super easy. So here is the recipe

  • Ingredients.
  • 1 packages refrigerated crescent roll or biscuit dough
  • 1 lbs. ground beef or turkey
  • 1 package taco seasoning
  • .5 cup cheddar or mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • shredded lettuce, tomatoes, sour cream, etc. if desired

Directions:

Preheat oven to 375ºF. Brown the ground beef or turkey in a skillet. Drain in a colander and rinse well in hot water to remove grease. Return to skillet. Add taco seasoning; mix well. Unroll crescent rolls or biscuits. {I kept two of the rolls together to make a square. It made it easier to wrap.}Top each piece of dough with approx. 2 TBSP taco meat and a sprinkling of cheese. Roll crescent roll around filling (fold over and pinch edges to seal if using biscuit dough). Place on a baking sheet at bake at 375ºF for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown. Serve with shredded lettuce, chopped tomatoes, and a dollop of sour cream, if desired.

Freezing Directions:

Follow directions as above. When finished baking, allow to cool completely then flash freeze on a cool cookie sheet. When frozen, place in a gallon freezer bag. To serve: Heat frozen taco rolls in microwave for about a minute or reheat in the oven until heated through.

Vegas!!!

Last Tuesday Me Kristin and Tanya headed to vegas. It was a blast. I love hanging out with my girl friends although it doesnt happen enough. We went to the fashion show mall and went to forever 21 and we were in there for about 3 hours so that is like the only store we bought anything from which is fine with me. We went to a Japenese kind of place called RA. It wasnt my favorite but it was alright. My pasta noodles were the size of worms and pretty much were the same texture to not a good combo. We went out the the new duragos that tanyas dad tony opened up and visted with him for a few. It was good to see him. Then we headed to yogurtlant which was BOMB. I loved it! It had so many good flavors. We had a great trip and hope to do it again soon.
